"Which is really troubling when you're trying to have secure, accessible, fair elections in the state," Kemp continued. "He doesn't know the Georgia Bureau of Investigation very well," Kemp said of Giuliani in December 2020. March 5 (Reuters) - Fires broke out at the construction site of an Atlanta police training center on Sunday after a demonstration at the property led to clashes between police and protesters and 35 people were arrested, police said. The group of hard-line Republicans standing firm in opposing Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s bid for speaker has coalesced around an alternative: Rep. Byron Donalds, a conservative two-term lawmaker from Florida who is considered a rising star in the GOP but is still relatively unknown nationally. Donalds said the incident inspired him to change his life and eventually emerge from businessman to politician. In 2021, Donalds was denied membership in the Congressional Black Caucus and insisted it was because of his conservative views. Donalds’ wife, Erika Donalds, with whom he has three children, is also a conservative Republican and involved in state politics. Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., center right, speaks with a colleague in the House chamber at the U.S. Capitol, on Wednesday.
ATLANTA—Georgia voters have suffered through an extra dose of political ads because of Tuesday’s U.S. Senate runoff, and their pain has meant extra profit for WSB-TV, the station that has seen more money pass through it in 2022 than any other in the nation. More than $86 million in political advertising flowed into the ABC affiliate so far this year, according to data from the ad tracker AdImpact. It is a windfall generated by a confluence of high-profile races for governor and U.S. Senate, including the bonus of the runoff between Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker . “Not only did they have multiple competitive races, but then they got a whole extra bite at the apple” with the runoff race, said Ken Goldstein , a polling and political analyst who has done academic research on campaign advertising.
The other is Herschel Walker.”A runoff election to decide control of the Senate is not new for Georgia or its Black voters. Now, Jones said, Black voters are facing the burden of having to pull Georgia — and the country — across the line. That part is confusing.”Sen. Raphael Warnock and Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker. All of them have so much admiration for Stacey Abrams.”Abrams received 90% of the Black vote, but only 51% of the women’s overall vote, according to NBC News Exit Polls. I can’t be worried about the Senate,” Jones said.
